Funny how we never hear about the flip side of the coin: reverse discrimination. How often are whites discriminated against by other minorities?

I have no idea how well off you people are, but have any of you been to an unemployment office lately for welfare? If so, what color skin do most of the people working there have? It's not white. I know several unemployed white people in my area who are living well below the poverty line and somehow "don't qualify" for assistance -- yet, they are never told why.

I'm currently a college student going to a state university. For those who are in college, what color are the people working in its financial aid office? Once again, chances are most of them aren't white. I, myself, am a 3.9 GPA average student, a member of the Delta Mu Delta National Honor Society in Business Administration and have made Dean's List every semester since I started going to school here... and I practically had to beg for financial help from the school and all I received was $800 assistance. Meanwhile, I know of several black students with whom I am friends that received almost entirely free rides from the university system and are:

1) Better off financially than I am
2) Do not consistently receive high marks in their classes (I know as I've taken several classes with them)
3) Aren't there on sports scholarships

I don't want this argument misconstrued as "this guy simply hates black people" because that's bullshit. As I said before, I have several black friends. My point is that there is, without a shadow of a doubt, a shift towards reverse discrimination as the "white population" gets closer and closer to becoming the minority that most people either don't notice or simply choose to ignore. I'm sick and tired of everything being decided on the basis of skin color rather than being based on need or skill.

At some colleges, millionaire white use loopholes so they pay less in tuition than poor black students, it goes both ways

BTW colleges wanted affirmative action, not the DNC

Legal hispanics are against illlegal immigrants like everyone else.
If everyone is required to prove they are here legally before getting a job, renting property etc... then it will work and not be racist.

Maybe if influxes of minorities didn't immediately result in an increase in crime and cost of social programs - whites wouldn't bitch quite so much.

As far as the "cost" the hispanic boom is the only thing that saved the city from turning into a ghost town

I'm sure you didn't know, but Hazleton was one of the few cities in the country that had the honor of having negative growth (a recession really) during the 98-99 boom, oh yeah and also before and after that

The population doubled, and the crime rates are laughingly low

Whenever I'm in downtown Hazleton I leave my car unlocked and money in my console

I'll go to Wikipedia and pick 100 random cities (random through alphabetical selection just so you can't complain later) and compare their crime rates to the percentage of minorities in them.

If I CAN'T show a positive relationship (ie higher minority percentage of population equal more crime) i'll leave this forum. If I can, you leave.

Aren't there penalties anyway under various federal and state laws (at least for hiring)? This seems more symbolic than anything else. I guess it gives the local cops authority where INS or someone else had to handle the same issues beforehand. I don't think any big city in which there are a lot of illegals is going to pass something like this since they make up a huge portion of the workforce. Bloomberg claimed the NYC economy would collapse without illegals.
