Movie Trivia: Poltergeist

I just learned something very interesting about that movie.

During the pool sequence, in which JoBeth Williaqm's character had fallen into the pool during a rainstorm and skeletons pop up from an unmarked graveyard, I just found out that those are real skeletons. They decided to use real skeletons to save money. No joke.

The actor who played the Indian Shaman was also a real shamjan.

What trivia aboujt other movies do you find interesting?

Very cool trivia! I didn't know that either. The only trivia I know about Poltergeist is that it was widely rumored to be really directed by Steven Spielberg (does that make him a ghost director?) And a major actor from each of the 3 films died soon after production; the sister from the first one, the scary old preacher from the second one, and of course, the little girl herself after the third one.

The only interesting movie trivia that springs to mind is that in the original Manchurian Candidate, Frank Sinatra actually breaks his little finger during a fight scene swinging his hand and slamming it on a table. As I recall, if you watch it frame by frame, you can see it happening. The coolest thing is that Frank doesn't even flinch, he just keeps on going.

And actor John "Fredo" Cazale only appeared in 5 films in his whole short life, and all of them were nominated for Best Picture (three of them won: Godfather, Godfather II, and The Deer Hunter). Damn impressive record if you ask me!
