So if I worked for another year and saved another $15k then i would have paid for it myself, but because I took advantage of their tuition reimbursement then I didn't? Not every shift offered reimbursement. I picked the one that did because that's what I wanted. Would you say I paid for it myself if they gave me $8/hr extra for working the shitty shift? Using your logic if I took a higher paying job to make more money then I didn't pay for school myself because I earned more by taking some other job.

There's no difference...I did it myself. I sacrificed by working midnight to 6am. I volunteered to work on sunday night because that's the shift that offered reimbursement.

Next you're going to tell me I didn't pay for it myself because I got free room/board by being an RA

I consider it getting back what I paid in. I paid social security which I'll likely never get back. I paid for those entitlement programs that I'll never get back. I paid for a war that was completely mishandled.

So just as you feel that you shouldn't have to pay for other people's entitlements, this is my way of getting money I paid in back.

So... if someone gives you money based upon specific criteria, it becomes money you earned even if you did not extra work for it?
