Getting rid of the gold standard certainly didn't help at all. Our economy hasn't gotten better since Nixon was in office.

I wish the LL poll truly reflected our country's view on things. I could only wish for a split between Ron Paul and Wes Clark. Both are great candidates who would find our way out of Iraq quickly and affectively. That has to be the first area where we cut spending to get our budgets in check, not to mention the other things it saves..such as soldiers. The rest of their 'looney' idea would be subject to congress and senate and probably shot down..where our checks and balances work perfectly.

I see Ron Paul is going to be the bandwagon vote this election even though his views are ridiculous and he has no chance in hell. I am not really sure why people NEED to just give their vote to someone else because the front runners aren't that attractive.

I'm voting for Ron Paul because I agree with him.

I'm not voting against other candidates - I'm voting for him. And millions of other Americans will as well.

And it's cool that his constitutional views are ridiculous.

Voting for the person you most agree with is jumping on a bandwagon ?

What's hilarious about this is that you support Obama - who is nothing other than a bandwagon vote

At least Hillary, Clark, and the other Democrats have an actual record you can agree / disagree with. Obama has hardly any history at all! It's the new "cool" thing to like him, so keep on riding that bandwagon you're on.

First of all...let's not talk about "record". Ron Paul doesn't have more of a "record" than any other candidate. He has a "history" of ridiculous votes for ridiculous reasons. He hates gays and his viewpoints on marriage and taxes are pretty much retarded. People didn't need a "record" to vote for Bush...so why are you trying to make that an issue here? Also, just because I would pick Obama at this time doesn't mean I will vote for him later. I look at what he has said and done up to this point and don't have any issues with him. I haven't started any threads on supporting Obama...I haven't posted any videos of Obama speaking or his talking points...so no "support" here...Lastly - he actually has a small % chance of winning - unlike Paul. So, waste your vote if you like.

Hates gays?

That's why he voted against the FMA. That's why he's for the federal government staying out of it completely and leaving the issues up to the states. Thanks, but try again.

Of course his views on taxes would be ridiculous to a socialist - just like your views on taxation are ridiculous to all of us here, as well as the vast majority of the country.

And people did need a record to vote for Bush - he was governor. Pretty much every candidate running has a record - as a Congressman, Governor, Senator, etc. And people pay attention to those records. Your man Obama has hardly any record at all, and yes people won't vote for him because no one knows where he stands on anything.
