Despite a great deal of other people claiming that is was not true, and they were only looking for a reason.

It was plainly obvious from the outset that the US would go to war with Iraq, regardless of any evidence they found.

Therein lies the reason for his lack of popularity. Saddam would have never taken a majority position though, this would expose him to power sharing.

Gotta agree with you on that. He had more than 10 opinions all different from his opinion. The only other country that concurred with the US that Iraq had WMD's was the UK based on the US' edited intelligence. Even our own intelligence discredited the WMD's before we went ot war but it was ignored. The surgeon wanted to cut and found a reason to do so in this analogy.

there were more countries that also gave 'intelligence' saying iraq had wmd. russia was even one of them.

All these claims were made by Bush or then-Secretary of State Colin L. Powell in public addresses even though, the reports made clear, they had yet to be verified

BTW, I can find nothing stating Russia gave us any intelligence in the pre-war time. The only thing I can find is that Russia fed Iraq information on troop location during the Iraq war, so even if your claim is true it leads me to question their motive since apparently they were playing both sides.

Jordan, Egypt, Israel intel groups all told Gen Franks about chemical weapons.

Germany and France both believed they had weapons but thought war wasnt the answer.

I can attribute just as many countries who questioned or outright denied the claims of WMD prewar. I guess when you pick the outcome and then build the evidence around it, it makes things easier.

We have not found anything significant, end of story case closed. Don't you think if we found anything worth a shit that the administration would have been ALL over that? There were no weapons of mass destruction for which this country went to war over. Period. The administration has said it, dulfer report said it, its over. 404 NO WMD FOUND. My god. Colbert is right about "truthiness"
