| No, federal money was directed to homeless shelters from 1992-2000 via HUD and stopped in 2000. People went from at least having a cot to the street. Homeless support services designed to get people back on their feet and supporting themselves also were cut. We dumped thousands of people back on the street and told them to pull themselves up by their bootstraps. You ever applied for a job with no address or phone number? It's damn hard to be contacted for an interview!!!

| I never said that, the VA does guaranteed mortgages for veterans so I can get a no down payment mortgage. The way ballz was talking it sounded like he was referring to welfare bums, not the people that made this great country the way it is. | ||||
