| I agree with him on everything in that video except pulling out of Iraq immediately. I think we need to contain the country and control its borders while they fight it out and figure out who will lead that country. Let Iraqis figure out Iraq. Keep Iran, Syria, and even Saudis or Jordan out of the mix. Otherwise i agree we spend way to much. I agree with him on immigration. Though I am sure I disagree with him on some of the other social issues. | ||||

| They can be kicked out as they are found. Also by setting up strict enforcement and punishment for business who hires illegals, combined with a refined verfication process to ensure they are hiring legal citizens... it will weed itself out naturally. Sure you might not get all of them, but just handing them legitimacy (aka amnesty) is not a solution either. Removing their reason to be here illegally, removing them as they are found, and securing our border are basically the only ways to fix this. | ||||

| no no, he promotes loosening how hard it is to become legal I think. He's against illegals but also how they are forced into that situation just to work here, and even moreso, how they can be illegal and still have access to the programs we pay for via taxes. That shit is what i've been preaching for a long time to you fuckers | ||||

| I'm with him 100% on his immigration policy. I'm more or less with him on government spending policy because that depends on how far he wants to go and where he wants to do the cutting. I do not want to replace the tyranny of big gov't taxing/expenditure with the tyranny of stark, solely market-driven societal conditions that override prevailing wisdom (environment, financial aid for those who truly need it, education, antitrust) in the name of business expediency. Socially, he's too traditionally conservative for me, though I'd hope as a libertarian he wouldn't be the type who'd force his views on the country. Leaving social issues up to the states is all well and good, but in some cases it might not be enough to prevent the effective undoing of his intended policy (and therefore any implied freedoms coming from it). Unchecked, legally undefined liberty is the easiest to legislate away. | ||||
