He used the 1.21 jigawatts via a naturally created source that had no waste or carbon involved, as they harnessed a bolt of lightning off a clock tower.

Though to accelerate his vehicle to 88mph he had to use a carbon based fuel. I still laugh every time he says "Lets see if you bastards can do 90!" like he is hitting mach 2 in the mall parking lot.
