A Real Expert Speaks Against Global Warming

The final word that GLOBAL ARMING IS NOT REAL BY A REAL FRAKNG EXPERT!

THE MYTH OF GLOBAL WARMING
While the debate over global warming should be based solely on science, it has in fact become little more than a political time bomb. In this message, I will deal with both the scientific and the political aspects of the issue… but I will take it to a higher level… the Biblical perspective.

What does the Bible say about a global warming catastrophe that will melt the glaciers, raise the sea levels to horrific destructive heights and eliminate the four seasons beyond any recognizable difference.

Psalm 24:1-2, “The earth is the LORD's, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein. 2 For he hath founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the floods.”

Genesis 8:22, “While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.”

In recent years, since Al Gore invented the internet and helped invent global warming, our world has been in turmoil. The internet turned out to be “a very good thing” and, when used properly, is a great asset to humanity.

The endless hysteria and alarmism over alleged global warming has increasingly become a national and international nuisance and loses credibility with every passing day. The entire myth has little to do with science and much to do with politics.

THE PROMOTERS OF THE ALARMISM?
Its greatest proponents are the United Nations (no friends of America), liberal politicians, radical environmentalists, liberal clergymen, Hollywood and pseudo-scientists.

I AM NOT A SCIENTIST
I am quick to say that I am not a scientist. And, in a message as complex as this one, it is impossible to discuss all the science of alleged global warming and to give fair treatment to the subject, all in 30 minutes.

For that reason, I am giving you a special link on our website.

Our website is: Thomas Road Baptist Church.

The link is titled: “A SKEPTIC’S GUIDE TO DEBUNKING GLOBAL WARMING ALARMISM”.

If you will take the time over the next few days to read all the papers, documents and speeches by scientists and national leaders, you will know enough true science, not pseudo-science, to discount the current alarm over global warming.

NAIVE CHRISTIAN LEADERS ARE BEING DUPED
It should be expected that liberal clergymen and theologians would join in concert with Hollywood and liberal politicians on every radical and hurtful issue that arises. But, sadly, some evangelical pastors and leaders have recently jumped aboard this brand new bandwagon. This bandwagon is not abortion, school prayer or gay marriage… rather, it’s a cause that former VP Al Gore is championing in his film, “An Inconvenient Truth” (better named “a Convenient Untruth”: namely global warming.

These naïve evangelicals, and many are my friends, find themselves in odd company. They are surrounded by secular liberals and extremist ecologists. But they say they’re willing to stand with such obnoxious radicals in order to honor a so-called Biblical mandate to maintain a prudent dominion over the earth.

One such group of naïve and compromising evangelicals is the Evangelical Climate Initiative (ECI). The ECI has issued statements urging immediate and drastic action to curb CO2 emissions and sign the Kyoto Treaty for the sake of the world and the world’s poor. And, of course, these evangelicals got some favorable press as might be expected.

PRESSURE IS BEING EXERTED ON ALL BELIEVERS TO JOIN THE EARTHISM CROWD
Clearly, the distinct impression has been left, perhaps deliberately, that all of the faith community should join Gore’s campaign for a Brave New World of governmental control of life, right down to the turning on of a light bulb.

Well, I am today raising a flag of opposition to this alarmism about global warming and urging all believers to refuse to be duped by these “earthism” worshippers.

THE JURY IS STILL OUT ON GLOBAL WARMING
In spite of all the hype by liberal politicians, the liberal media and radical Hollywood, it is not yet proven that greenhouse emissions are the cause of global warming.

EVANGELICAL SCIENTISTS TO THE RESCUE
To rebut these green, and maybe red, scientists and politicians, another group of evangelicals—researchers, professors, pastors, leaders—has banded together. It is the Interfaith Stewardship Alliance (ISA). The ISA is seeking to find an effective and sensible response to the possibility of climate change, using established norms of science and economics.

On January 17, 2007, a group led by representatives of the Center for Health and the Global Environment and of the National Association of Evangelicals sent out a letter titled “An Urgent Call to Action: Scientists and Evangelicals Unite to Protect Creation”. It was sent to political and religious leaders and the media. They claimed to speak for a broad consensus of scientists and evangelicals on a wide range of environmental issues.

Several days later, the Interfaith Stewardship Alliance (ISA) sent out another letter to the same people, calling into question the ECI’s alarmist letter.

The ISA letter stated that a look back at climate change over the past 30 to 150 years, as well as what may be projected with reasonable confidence into the foreseeable future, has resulted in the following conclusions :

(1) These climate changes are well within the bounds of natural variability, in which Earth’s climate has warmed and cooled cyclically throughout its history;

(2) These changes are largely natural in origin;

(3) These changes are unlikely to be catastrophic to humanity or the rest of the biosphere;

(4) These changes are not susceptible to significant reduction by any actions we take; and

(5) These changes are far from the most serious threat to humanity and the rest of our environment.”

THE ART OF CREATING HYSTERIA
Walter Williams wrote recently a column entitled “Fearmongering”. In it he said, “Political commentator Henry Louis Mencken warned that ‘The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed -- and hence clamorous to be led to safety -- by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, all of them imaginary.’”

Williams goes on to tell us that The Weather Channel has taken up that task with its series ‘It Could Happen Tomorrow’. The Weather Channel started its "It Could Happen Tomorrow" series in January 2006. The program includes episodes where a tornado destroys Dallas, a tsunami destroys the Pacific Northwest, Mount Rainier erupts and destroys nearby towns, and San Diego is devastated by wildfires. What is the Weather Channel up to?

THE WEATHER CHANNEL’S BIG LIE
The big lie, conceived by the Weather Channel in cahoots with environmental extremists, is to get us in a tizzy over global warming, and they're downright mean about it. Dr. Heidi Cullen, the Weather Channel's climatologist, hosts a weekly program called "The Climate Code." Dr. Cullen advocates that the American Meteorological Society (AMS) strip their seal of approval from any TV weatherman expressing skepticism about the predictions of manmade global warming.

DEMONIZING SKEPTICS OF GLOBAL WARMING
Walter Williams further said that Dr. Cullen has had a lot of help in demonizing skeptics of catastrophic manmade global warming. Scott Pelley, CBS News’ "60 Minutes" correspondent, compared skeptics of global warming to "Holocaust deniers," and former Vice President Al Gore calls skeptics "global warming deniers." But it gets worse. Mr. Marc Morano, communications director for the U.S. Senate Committee on Environment & Public Works, reports that on one of Dr. Cullen's shows, she featured columnist Dave Roberts, who, in his Sept. 19, 2006, online publication, said, "When we've finally gotten serious about global warming, when the impacts are really hitting us and we're in a full worldwide scramble to minimize the damage, we should have war crimes trials for these bastards -- some sort of climate Nuremberg." He didn’t say whether the death penalty should be administered to those found guilty of global warming denial.

Last year, 60 prominent scientists signed a letter saying, "Observational evidence does not support today's computer climate models, so there is little reason to trust model predictions of the future”. . . . … They added,

"It was only 30 years ago that many of today's global-warming alarmists were telling us that the world was in the midst of a global-cooling catastrophe. But the science continued to evolve, and still does, even though so many choose to ignore it when it does not fit with predetermined political agendas."

These scientists have probably won The Weather Channel's ire and might be headed toward a Nuremberg-type trial.

BASIC FACTS TO REMEMBER
(1) Global Warming, as we think we know it, doesn’t exist.
By Dr. Tim Ball, Chairman of the Natural Resources Stewardship Project (www.nrsp.com), is a Victoria-based environmental consultant and former climatology professor at the University of Winnipeg, Manitoba, in Canada.
He wrote on February 5, 2007, “Global Warming, as we think we know it, doesn’t exist. And I am not the only one trying to make people open up their eyes and see the truth. But few listen…”

(2) Global Warming is not due to human contribution of Carbon Dioxide (CO2).
This so-called fact is the greatest deception in the history of science. We are wasting time, energy and trillions of dollars while creating unnecessary fear and consternation over an issue with no scientific justification.

(3) Global climate has always fluctuated
In an article in Science magazine, professor John Stone of the University of Washington reports that the West Antarctic Ice Sheet appears to have been retreating steadily at a rate of about 2 inches per year for the past 10,000 years without any help from mankind.

The point is that global temperature fluctuations are an old, old story, in which relatively brief cycles of warming and cooling recur within longer swings of cooling and warming. There is nothing we can do about this.

I remind you again, for in-depth information on global warming, visit:

WHAT IS BEHIND THE ALARMISM OVER GLOBAL WARMING?

(1) To Create Major Economic Damage to America.
Experts predict that a universal compliance with the Kyoto Accords or any such proposal being promoted by the Al Gores of this world would cost the global community over $550 trillion and would cost the U.S. about $352 billion almost immediately. For starters, Americans would be assessed 35 cents per gallon of gasoline.

(2) The Desire To Change the Subject Concerning the World’s Moral Bankruptcy.

(3) Most importantly, it is Satan’s Attempt to Re-direct the Church’s Primary Focus.

THE CHURCH MUST RE-FOCUS ON OUR MESSAGE, MISSION AND VISION

OUR MESSAGE.

I Corinthians 2:2, For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified.”

OUR MISSION- THE GREAT COMMISSION
Matthew 28:18-20, “And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. 19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.”

OUR VISION
Acts 1:8, “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.”

Another straw man?

Catastrophe has always been big in the bible. Probably because it is semi-historical and even local catastrophes are world events if your world is a few hundred square miles! The science of geology discovered gradualism. Gradual changes in geology and environment bring long term change. But because of bias against biblical views, the idea of major catastrophic change was ridiculed up until late in the last century. Ideas such as asteroids causing major extinctions (Dinosaurs for you pre-schoolers) and major volcanism effecting the entire environment, ect .....were not at all popular at first and there was heavy consensus debunking before such ideas were considered accepted science.

And now who is teaching the end of the world?
