Valerie Plame makes me sick!

Perhaps it was bad timing for me to turn on the news this morning on the left coast just in time to hear her pathetic story of shock when her identity as some CIA desk clerk was revealed. Obviously she was #1 on the Al-Qaeda hit list within minutes. Does she even grasp to this day that her identity, which was well know by the testimony of friends and neighbors, was never protected by law? That her lying husband is the one who turned intelligence matters into political posturing before magazines and the press? The very thing she tries to claim she is so much against?

And now it's a big million dollar movie deal for the Plame's. Seems the CIA is holding up her 2.5 Million book deal. You see a CIA employee must sign a release that the agency must review all employment related publications and have a right to edit classified information. But her slob of a husband was never a CIA employee, so selling lies to Vanity Fair was not under their purview!

Hate Bush, Hate the War, whatever. But hold up this useless couple as heros and I must take serious issue with that!

Plame Wilson rejected claims that her role at the CIA not covert when her identity was leaked.

She said she had conducted secret overseas missions within the past five years, and that much information about her career remains classified.

Yes she was never covert.

That's why they had to shut down the fake company she was working for and the agents who worked there had to be reassigned after this became public.

And let's not forget how she sent her husband to Africa even though it was not in her power to do so.

She was caught in the middle of a political crossfire, her husbands fault or not I dont blame her for being a little pissed and whats wrong with her getting some dollars for what has probably been some significant BS the last few months/years.

I think what happened to her was wrong. But it wasn't a crime and I have trouble feeling sorry for her considering she outed herself and made it public knowledge beforehand. If she was living a life trying to keep it a secret, then maybe I'd have some sympathy, but as it stands she's taking a political hit against her husband and turning it right back around.

Her position and role in this is the same as the ones who outed her. She's no better.

I don't think it was all BS, I just think it's non-consequential. She's presenting an almost sob story about how her identity is compromised and she can't work in the field anymore because of a political hit job against her. The information was already known by their friends, neighbors, relatives, etc. Wasn't it even published in a book her husband wrote?

She really made no attempt to keep it private or secret. And so when it because even more public than it already was I don't feel sorry for her, nor do I have any sympathy. Her husband is the one who should be complaining. She's just monopolizing on it now.

Anyone who broke the law should be punished. However, outing her wasn't illegal or she would be in jail as well. It was a stupid political move, anyone who did something illegal regarding it should be punished fairly, I have no qualms with that. I don't even mind her spinning the issue at her aggressors and turning the tables if you will. All the more too her, I congratulate her for that. However, no sympathy for her. She can make her money off it, no problems with that. Milk it up to the media all you want. But I for one do not feel sorry for her and think she's a bit hypocritical right now.

Under questioning, Plame recounted feeling "like I had been hit in the gut" on the July 2003 morning when she saw a newspaper story by syndicated columnist Robert Novak identifying her.
