Bill Richardson disagrees with bush's illegal immigration/border plan...:hsugh:

Bill Richardson was in OKC today at a private fund raiser and he mentioned how he disagreed with bush's immigration plan. What did he offer?

He would increase the number of border agents and technology on the border and also work to improve relationships with Mexico.

He would crack down on businesses hiring illegals.

Finally, he would find some sort of way to grant legal status to the millions already here.

Now can someone tell me how the hell this is different than Bush's plan?

Bush wanted to increase the technology THEN the border agents. Richardson wants to do that agents first...WAY different.

thats about the only difference I could find. I went online to lookup richardson's plan the thing is almost exactly like Bush's and it lacked detail, it lacked a lot of detail so I dunno. I find it humerous and disappointing all at the same time

A lack of detail makes it more politically convenient to change his idea later. In a general sense i agree with both of them that we need more technology and more patrol agents. Randomly fly some of the predator drones up there. They could even use it to train those in the military before sending them off to fly their r/c planes over iraq and afghanistan. Anything is going to be better than what we have today.

Where i disagree is the worker passes and basically rewarding those who came here against our laws.

It is the same, and that plan is lame too.
