| See I was under the impression that you were saying Fox News was releasing a legitimate number that said 94% of Americans approved of Bush's SoTU. Which then turned out to be 85% of an automated text messaging system during Hannity talking. I'm having trouble keeping up. My apologies.

| i watch fox news, but only the morning and evening news and it's local, so it's probably not what you're talking about anyway. But you can tell on there who leans which way, but they do do a good job of getting people on both sides to chime in on different issues. locally anyway. then again, it's Boston local Fox news. the "Boston" sorta balances out the "Fox" anyway.

| I think the big deal is FOX portrays itself as a news channel, yet really report things with a major slant. CNN, MSNBC, et al report the news with little bias, then go into talk shows where bias may show more. FOX is bias everywhere. News is "here's what happened, draw your own conslusion", FOX is "here's what happened and here's what it means." | ||||

| I haven't read the PDF but Fair.org and Slate.com aren't exactly reputable sources. I mean Fair.org admits to being biased. They release this magazine: ![]() Quoting Fair.org is like quoting Air America, only they're willing to admit they're biased. | ||||

Also while FAIR may lean left on "issues," they have just as many articles holding CNN, ABC, MSNBC, etc feet to the fire as they do FOX. So in their main mission of "fairness and accuracy in reporting", they are really the only media watchdog group. Unless we expect the media to watch themselves? It may not be perfect, but it's all we got, lol. | ||||

| Also Slate.com admits to bias, especially in their editorials. Chatterbox is written by someone as wacky as Anne Coulter. The overall production of slate is widely considered further left than The New Republic. Their editorials, especially their chatterbox is ever further left than that. When trying to prove media bias you can't select sources that are more biased than the one you are claiming holds bias. | ||||

| There's: Media Research Center Home Page - 3/22/2007 1:25:13 PM They're the same as FAIR just on the opposite end of the spectrum. I'm not arguing Fox has a bias. I definitely admit they do. And perhaps the PDF is a good source, I don't have time to go through it. But Fair.org and an editorial from Slate isn't a fair means of proving media bias from another source. | ||||
