If any Republicans is too stupid to see his works he's been doing in film, book or speeches for YEARS, then they're not going to figure anything out by getting his opening statements

| Politicians aren't experts on global warming or scientists. When anyone presents a scientific speech such as this it is customary to give notice so they can find their own data to contradict or bring up. Gore purposely didn't allow them to do so. If Republicans brought in a guy who was against global warming hysteria like Tim Ball he didn't give notice of content prior to his speech you'd be shitting cans right now. | ||||

And you're supposed to let them know so they can analyze it prior to your speech. That's how it works. All the threads I've seen complaining about GOP violating protocol and somehow when Gore does it it's suddenly ok because everyone knows Gore and therefore it's cool. That's the same bullshit attitude Gore had about the issue and it's not ok.

No GOP person was unprepared for Gore or his comments, there are exceptions to rules Also there's a difference between a member of Congress and a former politician The GOP knew exactly what he was going to say and were more prepared for him than any witness I can remember, he didn't bring in any new radical research that put the GOP members in shock, its all old hat stuff his staff had told him about, and it affected nothing If you want to bitch and moan that he didn't cross his Ts and dot his Is, fine...us democrats are all going to burn in hell, happy?

No they didn't. And they were unable to get expert counter opinion because of it.

| Oh yeah, you right-wingers are really supportive of getting Rove under oath and every other scandal I'm sure you guys are going to be right behind us fighting the Bush machineThere are SO MANY anti-GW scientists according to you guys, they couldn't call them weeks in advance for some advice, they couldn't call economic experts, pundits? They are all helpless morons? Again, all he said in his opening was what he said in a movie thats even been on DVD for months, you're saying these GOPers were too stupid to find ANYONE to talk to who disagreed with the movie? Either anti-global warming congressmen are idiots or there is no real credible anti-GW scientist | ||||
