It matters because he's asking me to believe him on global warming even though he's lied about so many other things.
people believe bush's rhetoric that the Iraq war is part of the war on terror. They buy into the fact that we're safer because of the Patriot Act. They believe that the democrats want to run away as fast as possible.

You can't change it... which is why this is nothing about you bitching. Boo-hoo, people believe his crap. Nobody here has ever stated Gore is the spokesman on Global Warming.
Gore thinks he is, and HE'S the one in front of congress, not the scientists. So I'd say there definitely is reason to talk about him.
