had a poker get together saturday night. some friend of a friend kept spilling his drink on the floor and being a general nuisance. then when we wouldn't let him drive home (he was very drunk) he didn't want to sleep in the spare bed cause he would be more comfortable on the floor (no idea) then he decides to sleep in his car. Blasts his music at 2am and honks the horn. then my friend goes downstairs to yell at him and he drives away.

note to self: no more allowing of people to "sleep" in their cars in my driveway.

no, i didn't. my friend who practically lives with me did. and I tried EVERYTHING to get this guy to just pass out somewhere. first i offered my roommate's bed (roommate okayed this before he left for night). The guy didn't feel right about sleeping in someone's bed, so he said he'd sleep on the floor. I said, okay, i'll give you a sleeping bag. how many pillows do you want. then he says he'll sleep on the couch. that was a no go because I already had two people sleeping on the pullout couch. then his friend is there arguing with him for like 30 minutes about where he's going to sleep, so he finally allows him to go downstairs to sleep in his car because that's where he feels comfortable enough to sleep. Keep in mind I was drunk at this point and my friend who was handling the situation wasn't. so I thought he let his friend in the car and took his keys, maybe his friend had a spare set somewhere, i don't know. All i know is that this friend decides he sleeps better when he blasts his music in my driveway at 2am. I live in a neighborhood VERY close together. the driveway is literally wide enough for a car to get between the two houses on either side. This guy is waking up ALL the neighbors in a fairly small neighborhood. and it's not like he's some stupid college kid, he's 30 years old!!!!!!!! come on now. so I go downstairs and yell at him to turn the music down or off because people are sleeping. I point to the bedrooms, there's one, and there's another and another. you can't do that dude. then i go back upstairs and try to go to bed. then about 5 minutes later, the music starts again, and a horn honks. then my friend flys down the stairs, a heated argument ensues and the car takes off out of the driveway.

as far as i know the guy made it home okay, but i was totally against him going anywhere even if he was an asshole. god forbid he hit someone or something.

what the hell.

hey it was fun up until drunky decided he didn't want to sleep in my roommates bed.

he's not invited to the next poker night. i had to mop my dining room floor the next day because of all the booze he dropped on the floor. ugh.

Excitement, let's see.... What is exciting to a 42 year old with two kids under 8. Well.... my 7 year old started flag football and ROCKS at grabbing flags. They haven't let him run with the ball yet which is frustrating (cause I know he will score once he gets it). My 5 year old (turned 5 two weeks ago) started little league. T-ball with 10+ kids between the ages of 4 and 6 on the team is an incredibly funny/frustrating endeavor. After going to so many of my older sons sporting things he is soooo exciting to be playing himself. He just bounces everywhere cause he is so excited. We started calling him Tigger.

My 7 year olds pinewood derby car did really well in our Pack races this weekend. His was the 2nd fastest car of the 18 Wolves (2nd graders, which I'm the leader of) and he only lost out to his good friend who ended up winning it all. I was happy about that because Zack built about 90% of the car. I just helped him with the axles and decals.

Tried a new Pilsner yesterday of Australian origin that I can't remember the name of. John something. It was quite tasty. I'm always up for new beer. :yum:

My weekend was mundane.

The dog is getting better about being housetrained and having less accidents.

My son is a terror right now and is being a major a-hole. It's combination problem of a new sibling, new puppy, being three, and having a smart mouth.
