my parents were both blue-collar, dad repub , mom liberal, I'm lower middle class, independent and a female, and I wouldn't vote for her. It's not just middle class white males.

anyway, this is like the 2nd or third time "50%+ won vote for her" came out in a poll...later on, surprise, she beat every GOP candidate more than any other Democrat, and she didn't even start campaigning

I don't think this type of poll means anything. What matters is one candidate against another. People's views change when they are given a 1 vs. 2 option.

and from the sounds of this poll given "hillary" and "any other option" most people are going to choose "any other option" because the alternative is hillary.

From this thread it seems that if Hilary gets the nomination, it'll be a funny campaign.

Hilary: "Vote for me, because republicans suck"
Rep Candidate: "Vote for me, b/c Hilary sucks"

Then you'll have the normal libertarian candidate with a bunch of people screaming "You don't have to choose one or the other! You can pick third party!" and then they'll get 5-10% of the vote.

I think Hillary vs. McCain would be a VERY interesting race. of course the chances of that happening are like .00001%

McCain won't get the nomination. There are too many of his own people who would work against him for him to have a chance to win.

Way too many former military don't like McCain with the same rabid hate as a lot of people show for clinton. McCain's power is in (a) creating/molding/guiding the party's platform, and (b) diverting power and resources to the candidate with the best chance. That candidate is *not* him.

I heard people blame the green party for Gore's loss. Libertarians are mostly reform republicans (or people who would vote republican otherwise), but green party is certainly mostly would-be democrats and Nader gets way more press coverage than other third party candidates because... well... he's batshit crazy.

Nice prediction I guess

Seems kinda silly though, I don't know why anyone would say something outlandish unless they had a venue in which they could explain themselves.
