We are your administrators and here's a little about us:

I was born and raised in Oklahoma City. I was homeschooled for much of my life and entered the public school system in 8th grade. What a disappointment that was (from an education standpoint) and what fun from a social standpoint. After high school I went to the University of Oklahoma and graduated with an MIS degree.

I now work in the energy industry and am working on my MBA. I hope to finish the degree by summer of 2008 and am on schedule to do that

My family is full of hardcore republicans. I am registered republican though the last few years I've really had second thoughts. I'm moderate on many social issues and "conservative" by todays standards on many economic issues. The result is I find myself more in line with libertarians than either major political party, it will be interesting to see how long I hang on to my Republican card

I was born in Rahway, NJ and raised in central NJ. Family didn't have much growing up and was raised pretty liberal. I have typically voted for Democrats although from my posts here you probably wouldn't guess it.

I hold a BA in Psychology and a minor in Criminal Justice. I'm looking to change careers at the moment. I'm currently the General Manager of an independent movie theater.

I paid for most of my schooling on my own, loans and cash. Worked through college and it took me a bit longer to complete than most people. With that I've gained a sense of personal responsibility that I feel many in the Democratic party are lacking. It's typically for these reasons I have fallen against their arguments when it comes to debating politics. I find myself agreeing more with conservatives than liberals when it comes to politics, not so much because I agree with their positions more, but because I strongly disagree with most liberal counter-arguments.

People from the forum who talk to me on AIM are usually pretty shocked at how critical I am of the Bush administration and GOP off the forum. If I had to align myself with any political party that most closely resembles my point of view I would have to say the old Reform Party guided by Ross Perot. Unfortunately this great little party has been hijacked by a bunch of idiots.

I guess I can sum up my political views as being fiscally conservative and socially liberal. I'm pro-choice, favor stem cell research, favor gay marriage, but I also support the state's right to enforce capital punishment, I'm against strict gun control laws, but feel they need to be regulated. I think religion should basically be out of public schools and public places, but I think people need to shut-up over Ten Commandments being on two-hundred year old courthouses. When it all really comes down to it my overall political view is probably pretty moderate. I think everyone says that, but in my case I think it's kinda true. Believe it or not, but outside the forum I'm often considered a liberal. In fact, I have not found a single online political quiz that has identified me as something other than a liberal. Maybe Pro Street and the rest of the gang will remedy that

Oh yea, I have a wonderful girlfriend who's too smart to be dating me, but she keeps me young and we get a long great. She posts on the board from time to time, mostly in the speakeasy.
