I think Fox needs to really be put into perspective. The ADA scores of the mainstream media is about 10-15 points to the left of center. Clearly liberal. That's what we're all used to. We're not used to even hearing the conservative opinion let alone a station that gives it priority. A 10-15 point shift to the left is still fairly centrist by most accounts. But imagine another 20 points to the left... Hello Air America and Maxine Waters!!! What a huge jump, eh? Now what if you go 20 points in the other direction.. Hello Fox News. While equally biased (if not less), in relation to what we consider the "norm" it's extremely far out of the park of what our society has come to expect from our media. So it's chastised. But for the conservative Americans their news reports are no different than a liberal watching ABC. And that's something many liberals can't or just simply won't accept.

Well said and that is exactly what this study shows but it shows it with pretty good data to back it up.

They've made whole documentaries and can continue to make more documentaries (except people that watch them already accept it as fact) on the blatant bias of Fox as merely servicing to its 90% GOP audience

You could never make a library of documentaries on CNN's bias or Tom Brokaw's bias...because CNN's flagship places like the Situation Room...even their Sunday Talk like Late Edition...they play it as objective as possible, and Brokaw is probably the most respected journalist that still is involved with a network

All I see two guys who looked around and found a way to label the media liberal, in the PR I don't even see a solidly conservative source mentioned, most likely because their methods involve only blatantly conservative magazines like the weekly standard (that actually advertise on how conservative they are)

Two guys by the way, one is a political scientist, and the other isn't even a full professor...

So they publish it in the same ECONOMICS (laugh) journal that accepts anything controversial, such as (as ive seen) flawed data showing abortion was the cause for our drop in crime

Since this has even less to do with economics than that did, you have to figure it got rejected from any prestigious social science journal

Evidence of a liberal bias has been presented over and over on this forum and people ask for empirical data. Empirical data is provided and now we resort to rhetoric.

Is Fox News biased?? Yes.. nobody is arguing against that from what I can see. We need to move one step further here now that the conservatives admit Fox is biased, we need others to admit the media they so love and adore is also very likely to be biased as well. It's amazing how protective people are of the sources they develop their opinions from. People have gotten so accustomed to thinking a certain way they refuse to challenge their world.
