My companies software is soooo secure, they have made it un-secure

So, the company I work for (one of the largest electronic companies in the world) likes to make sure everything is "secure". Of course it starts with our computers. Our computer logins must be at least 8 characters and of those 8 you have to have at least one number, one capitol letter, and one symbol (like !@#$%^&*-<>, etc). That's fine, no biggie. But a lot of the programs we use won't use our Exchange login/password so they have there own. Here is a list of things I use at least weekly (a lot daily) that I need passwords for:

Expense site (to do my expenses)
VPN login
EVTS (support software)
SAP (to open and close service calls)
Knowledge Base 1
Knowledge Base 2 (yes, two different systems with different answers and different passwords)
SRS (software to log into customers sites remotely)
Corperate Travel site (to make travel plans for business trips)
Learning site (for on-line training/tests)
Human Resources (to view paystubs, print W2's etc)
HP Openview (to monitor remote sites)

And I'm sure a few that I have missed. But because we have so many intranet sites we must use in our jobs and they all have different logins/passwords every employee (I'm willing to bet) has a notepad file somewhere on their computer with every login/password listed for every intranet site we go to. It's terrible. It's impossible to remember them all and we have no choice but to make a list.

Maybe someday they will tie them all together, but right now it's just silly.

I'm happy that at work they have tied together the pc/network/exhange passwords all together, so I only have to logon once. This was a step in the right direction.
