Iraq invited those Iranian diplomats, and we kidnapped them. The Iraqi government is NOT happy about it, and I don't blame them. It's making relations with the two countries very difficult, but that's what "we" want -- We don't want Iraq and Iran getting along because we don't like Iran. Unfortunately, the Iraqi people have to live next door to them.

Yeah, the Government of Iran are just waiting for reasons to respect us if we would give them the chance. We are making relations difficult.....

I'm hardly defending Iran, however, if we want to be seen as the good guys, perhaps we should hold ourselves to higher standards than those we so thoroughly enjoy trashing as 'evil'.

Taking those from Iran hostage in Iraq when they were in Iraq at the behest of the Iraqi government just shows the US does not respect the Iraqi government.

While the troops have authority to operate in Iraq, but taking them prisoner and not releasing them is undermining the authority the government in Iraq has runs counter the stated US goals in Iraq.
