G rated?? So most of the great works of literature should be removed from schools?

The 100 "Greatest Books in History" (I'm a link)

More than half of those books would be gone if you went with a G rating.

It is a public place (regardless if it is public or private school) and there are rules to be followed. Parents have a right to not have their children exposed to such things without their supervision or being directly involved.
The teacher asked the kid to write. The teacher didn't read it to anyone who didn't want to hear it. The kid sitting right next to this kid could have written about fuzzy bunnies and lollipops and wouldn't have "been exposed" to "such things."

Arrested? Nah. Suspended for a period of time and directed to see a counselor or counselor/parent conference with the kid to see why they would write such things, ok.
A counselor for saying what, exactly?

But the point of the assignment was to not censor themselves and write whatever they felt like.

I don't see the issue here at all.

To try to make sure the kid is not going to go kill a bunch of people. Every single time there is one of these school shootings they always say "he was supposed to be in counseling" or "he should have been in counseling" and every time this happens it is always because it is to late. Its always "they should have talked to him sooner".

16+ i'd be ok with something "PG".

You can also take what i wrote completely out of context and try to make it sound like I am a retard who only wants butterflies and kittens in school. Give me a break.

Here. This is for the reading impaired. I've said it 4 times, this is the 5th, but I'll just repost my 4th and make it bigger, ok?

And I'll say it for a 4th time. I don't think he should have been arrested for it. But I do understand why they were concerned about what he wrote.
