| Is there a dog crew on here? My little bastard pitbull chewed his toenail off (and little bastard is used in the most loving way possible right now ).The vet said he doesn't need to be seen, but it looks painful and I am thinking that I should be taking him in tomorrow. The vet also said not to bandage it up or anything (yet when my other dog broke her toenail, the vet said to clean it, bandage it and bring her in immediately)? Any opinions or suggestions? | ||||

| so why no bandage? i can't imagine an open wound, especially on the foot, and therefore on the ground, benefiting from that. | ||||

| No bandage because I am following the vet's orders (I was thinking about doing it anyways though, just to prevent him from chewing on it more). It doesn't make much sense to me to be honest. It looks tremendously worse now too. He's getting his twice a week baths with the special shampoo, and daily wipe downs with the apple cider vinegar as recommended. | ||||

| i was asking why the vet said no bandage. i had considered that he might simply chew it off, but it still seems counter-intuitive to leave exposed an open wound on the foot. anyway, i hope he feels better. more pics of the pup? | ||||

I finally got my first decent application on him (he's been listed for over a month now), so we're going to meet the family this week. Here's to hoping they're a good fit! His paw is healing nicely too, if only I can get him to keep the bandage on it! | ||||

| I have been mulling about getting a dog, but I dunno what breed or anything. It'd have to be good in an apartment, but I don't want some little toy dog breed, any suggestions? | ||||

| So you want a large, yet fairly inactive breed? What about a bulldog? I don't think they're overly active? | ||||

| Not large, just not tiny like one of those things Paris Hilton or someone carries around in a bag Medium size is fine, and I don't want a lazy/inactive breed either (I'd plan to be active with it obviously), just something that doesn't absolutely need a yard and doesn't bark a ton. | ||||
