| Over 60% of Democrats uncertain if Bush knew of 9/11 in advance
Most Democrats in our country aren't sure if Bush knew in advance that the events of 9/11 were going to take place. Fox News viewers are constantly being harped on for being misled.. and blamed on Fox. Yet here we have a clear-cut example of Democrats in our country subscribing to moonbat theories. I wonder which media outlets they're gathering such ideas from. So this leads me to ask.. what about LibertyLounge? Who here believes Bush knew of the 9/11 terrorist attacks in advance and did nothing about it? I say Bush didn't know.

| I think he knew something was going to happen but not a exact date or specific target. There is plenty of evidence to suggest this. Here is a link with news articles refering to this. You need one more option in your poll as he knew but no specifics and I would mark that one otherwise I am not voting. 9/11: Bush Knew - BuzzFlash Perspectives | ||||

| you're saying two different things. first you say some sixty percent are uncertain if bush knew in advance, then you say this majority subscribes to 'moonbat theories'. but only thirty eight percent actually believe, while another twenty six are simply unsure. to my knowledge, a majority of conservatives believed iraq was responsible for 9/11, we found wmd's in iraq, etc, rather than only some believing, and others unsure. | ||||

| Stupid poll. Unless the question clarifies to what degree of certainty he knew, you're going to get a very high percentage. It's established fact that Bush was warned of a 911-type attack around the time frame 911 happened, so you don't know if respondents have those warnings in mind or a batshit crazy conspiracy theory. | ||||

| All though I loathe the man, I wouldn't say he would knowingly allow such an attack to take place. I do however fault him for not doing enough before the attacks to possibly stop them. | ||||

| He knew, I cite the PDB shown by Condoleezza to GWB in early [July] 2001 listing Usama Bin Laden as a "specific threat to targets inside the US" and having plans to strike in the fall and winter time frames. This specific Presidential Daily Briefing or PDB was even presented as evidence and declassified to the public, during the famed "9/11 Comission Hearings" | ||||

| That's a pretty ambiguous question, I'd love to see the exact wording.. these kinds of polls can elicit the response they want by the way they phrase questions to people. Of course Bush knew an attack was more than likely coming, there are memos he read stating that fact.. but that's hardly the same as knowing the specific time, place, and method of attack. I also highly disagree with the misinformation in this sensationalist thread title.. Only 26% say they "Don't Know", and that's the right answer, because there's no way to be 100% absolutely sure one way or another. All you can do is guess.. You can't simply combine that with the 35% who say "yes" (despite the ambiguous question) to make the inaccurate assertion that "More than 60% of Democrats" this or that. | ||||

| I don't know what's worse- this misleading poll or guys like Bill O'Rly pimping it out. Yesterday he had it as a big segment on his show, and was asking his guests why so many Democrats believe in this conspiracy madness. Apparently it never occurred to him or the "Democratic strategist" that the poll itself was flawed. The Republican guest blamed the poll results on George Soros and Moveon.org; the Democratic strategist blamed it on Bush's low credibility. | ||||
