Hezbollah accepts Ceasefire, so does the rest of Lebanon and Israel

BEIRUT, Lebanon - Hezbollah leader Sheik Hassan Nasrallah said on Saturday the militant organization would abide by the U.N. cease-fire resolution but would keep fighting as long as Israeli troops remained in southern Lebanon.

Well the Lebanese and UN forces will sweep in and pour in as Israeli forces pull out, Hezbollah will disengage region by region as the Lebanese army takes control and Israel leaves

They defeated the IDF in ground combat, terrified the Israelis of Northern Israel, and were in completely fit military shape before and right now...they are the celebrated heroes of the Arab world for doing what Arab armies never could: Beat the vaunted IDF and force them to agree to a ceasefire on negative terms

Remember, Hezbollah still has 2 Israeli prisoners to bargain with...previously that netted them thousands of Lebanese prisoners, also, they have their army intact and the Lebanese army inbetween them and harm

Iran is not stronger? Their proxy war worked brilliantly as now Shia muslims are being hailed in Sunni countries that are now fearing Iran's rising power

they did? israel consistently pushed them back and is still doing so. i wouldn't call being pushed back a victory.

Uh, they got like 3 miles in 30 days, and the Israelis retreated from villages in Lebanon, what small "advances" they made were Hezbollah moving from one building to another, and then moving back in the next day in most places, at that pace the war would have gone on until the IDF ran out of soldiers before Israel could take over Lebanon

They didn't halt the Israeli economy of Haifa for years

Ofcourse they are stronger now, they have huge caches of weapons, veterans from the war, and thousands (maybe more) of new recruits

Even the US gave up on Israel beating Hezbollah, it wasn't the "international community" it was Hezbollah's efforts at defeating Israel time and time again

This is the biggest disgrace the IDF has ever faced since they helped slaughter 2000-4000 refugees in the 1980s

How was this just fucking around? You think someone would say that if Israel just bombed a few bunkers or training camps or something...saying if Israel really took the gloves off, it'd have to kill hundreds of civlians and fuck up the entire country...wait, they did do that. The only thing Israelis haven't done is send in mass numbers of ground troops to occupy the entire country and go door to door, but that has nothing to do with the Israelis restraining themselves. It has to do with them knowning they'd get owned in that type of ground combat.

If Israel wanted to, they could have said "Everyone out we're coming in" and destroyed the entire southern portion of Lebanon and everyone still in it.

But when people are hiding among civilians and waging a sympathy war with the media it kinda prevents Israel from just going in and blowing up anything that moves.

Had Israel said fuck it and invaded on the large scale and did what needed to be done considering the way Hezzbollah is fighting, we'd have seen a much different outcome.

In ground combat, unit on unit, Hezbollah was winning, the IDF either retreated or took over land which was infested with Hezbollah waiting to reambush them

let me guess they would get owned because guerrillas always win house to house fighting, that is out right not true. They didn't commit ground troops because they don't want to occupy southen lebabon afterwards
