| Not only that, but the President plays a major role in determining the political climate of the nation. It also gives him prime real estate to sell his libertarian ideals and if America likes them (or conservatives) the politicians will be forced to support them. And if nothing else he will act as a wall to prevent the country from going down the slippery slope both parties have been harping down. That alone would be a wonderful feat and wouldn't make him a lame duck.
