Even dailykos likes Ron Paul

Daily Kos: State of the Nation

*EDIT*

I think that this just proves that liberty is the most important thing of all - and that various people from various political backgrounds, whether conservative, liberal, or libertarian, are sick and tired of the status quo and want to support a candidate who actually intends to change things for the better.

Kos doesn't like him, one blogger out of thousands on the site supports Ron Paul. Kos couldn't support a Republican, his site would take a huge hit and Democrats would no longer look to him. He makes his livelihood off his liberal status.

His name is Ron Paul, and barring Al Gore being drafted he is the only candidate I will feel good about giving my money to.
So wait, if Gore doesn't run, he is going to donate money to Paul? I'm thinking this is a very confused individual.

Did Kos post?

I'm sure to some he may be their favorite Republican, but I doubt many of them would ever give him a vote. And if he were leading the polls I'm willing to bet most of those bloggers would no longer like him.

I'm thinking for one reason. Legalize Pot. The other things Paul stands for they bring up just so they don't look like fools.

And many of them have typical left panic reactions to libertarian thought:

Ron Paul is far worse than a neo-conservative. (14+ / 0-)

A neo-conservative (or at least the ones running) doesn't want to eliminate income taxes, Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, and all government regulations.

Furthermore (9+ / 0-)

No neo-con wants to cause another Great Depression by going on the fricking Gold Standard.
http://www.house.gov/...
Ron Paul is certifiably nuts.

For once I agree with you (12+ / 0-)

Ron Paul is a libertarian wackjob. He would be a massive disaster for this country. There's no need for us to give his ideas, which are antithetical to ours, any support.

I'm not part of a redneck agenda - Green Day

Do you (7+ / 0-)

hate government that much, that you would vote for Ron Paul?
With Ron Paul, we continue on the path straight back to the 1890's. No consumer protections, no regulations, no safety net. At least, that's what he'd like.
Honestly, why is it that we pick out on candidate on the oher side to hero-worship eery primary? I guess Paul's the back-up if Chucky doesn't run?
Paul isn't a conservative. He's a batshit crazy libertarian.
Small government can kill. Just ask those in new Orleans.

And as I said above, making pot legal appeals to them as well. The last thing Democrats want is smaller government.

People have different beliefs about the role of government, I don't think it makes them stupid..

They will like Ron Paul much more than the other Republicans because he's for the Government staying out of peoples social lives too

my point is that we already have huge government bureaucracy as is, and it was that bureaucracy that delayed the aid to New Orleans... A smaller government would've probably gotten it there faster, whether you believe that is the role of government or not.

Several of the bloggers think Paul is insane.

However, several others like him. And, while stylerod may have a point, I think it is more than just the pot issue.

Also that poll the other day regarding the Republican debate placed Paul as #1 on Kos.

The folks over there seem to like him. Paul FTW!
