| I making predictions, sure - based on what may occur with currrent information increase rates - but only within the limited scope that is possible before it gets to hard. Predictions are not facts, they are extrapolations. Would think it possible to predict what a being would do if they were significantly more intelligent and had near-perfect memory? Still, I understand why people dismiss the idea of a singularity. For some it just makes them uncomfortable, they don't like the idea of not being human, and others simply dismisss the idea because it seems to far out of the relam of possibility. Then again maybe I just accept it to hold on to my sanitiy. | ||||
