Anybody ever taken them? My options are mefloquine, which is a once a day pill that upsets the stomach, or malarone, which is a once a week pill that gives vivid dreams to some. Anybody ever taken either? Do they suggest one over the other?...

| Not that I am a doctor by any means...but I have gone through numerous prescription drugs for numerous ailments. I also have had to choose from one drug or another. If you are concerned about side effects, go by what your body has told you in the past. If your stomach reacts poorly to antibiotics/other meds then it may be wise to go with the drug which warns of "vivid dreams." Has your doctor given you any sort of advice on this matter? Don't forget to get your smallpox vaccine either! Kudos to you for doing such good work.  | ||||
