this whole show is the same media we're talking about

i'm not sure how you can claim the bush admin is behind everything they report, especially since i doubt they set up this interview.

I son't see where I even implied they are behind everything. Rhetoric gets attention though, anything "controversial".

Still from what little I have heard of the interview, the Iranina president seemed to be careful not saying anything to over the top

motivez has implied that what we know about iran and the middle east is all government-fed information through the media. i figured you were following along the lines of the conversation.

who cares what the iranian president has said? do you believe him? his actions through hezbollah in trying to destroy hezbollah speak louder than words.

He has said Israel should be wiped off the map. So what? He can't have an opinion? He has also stated they don't want nuclear weapons. So do you just believe what you what to believe when he says something? Anything you agree with is truth and anything else is a lie?

So supporting Hezbollah is somehow worse than supporting the Contras?

Certainly the media will skew perspective towards more sensational claims.

Well what he says will give clues as towards his though process and what his stance on particualr things actually means.

Do I believe him? Not really. I don't trust leaders of nations to be honest. They can't really afford to be.

You mean trying to destroy Israel? I don't think Hezbollah was attempting that.

He sounds like a hypocritical person. He sounds like he is a firm believer in what he says. Israel is a country that was created by the europeans and the US as a result of ww2 in palestine and he don't like it and they shouldn't be there. Thats the only thing productive i recieved from the interview.

The rest of it was a lot of bla bla bla. Unfortunately he is such a firm believer in what he says I do not think there is any changing his mind and there probably is no way to reason with him.

He did sound like a good little left winger when he decried the high number of incarcerated persons and our lack of national health care plan. I wonder what the Iran health care plan is, maybe John Kerry can study it for a semester abroad and use it for his 2008 election run

most of the interview was about Israel, which we already knew his opinion about - weak sauce

I wanted to hear his reasoning for nuclear power in the Middle East, why he won't agree to a nuclear fuel supply, his perspective on the resistance to his govt in his own country, the effect on the Iraq war on his countries power expansion, and when he thinks our bombs will light up his country like the 4th of July at the current pace.

he wouldn't answer a single question, he should have stepped into the no spin zone with bill O'RLY, at least it would have been entertaining.

He knew who he was talking to. He was taking a page straight out of the DMC playbook.

So, we had twice as many posts before the interview as after. I didn't get to see it yet. Was it not what people were expecting?
