| Newsweek: Democrats dominate GOP in all presidential polls NEWSWEEK Poll: May 5, 2007 - Newsweek Politics - MSNBC.com The closest is Rudy down 3 against Hillary Biggest is Edwards up 43 points against Romney For the record, Newsweek had Bush winning by 4 in its last 2004 poll Maybe it's starting to sink in and over the summer we'll see more polls reflect the obvious: People aren't paying attenion to much of the election, but those who do are overwhelmingly picking Democrats No 2nd term president in his 20s in the polls came close having someone of his party take the office, that and Iraq are going to drag the GOP down, possibly worse than 2006...right now it's looking like a 5-6 seat pickup in the senate and at worse double digit gain in the House as America becomes more and more a country dominated by Democratic voters | ||||

| This is going to be the year of the Democrats. America is ready for a change. The Dems have a huge advantage going on. I think once it starts getting closer and the dirty politics start to come into play the GOP will start doing a little better, but overall I think the country wants a Democrat. | ||||

Females will come out in droves more than the polls are showing, she probably has the best chance of beating any GOPer, but liberals want someone more heart that will not only leave a legacy like JFK did that will last for decades, but gain Senate seats

| Unless the Democrats manage to squander their approval ratings and fail to stick up for what they promised going into this midterm election, I would put money down that we're going to have a Democratic President come '08. We'll see as time moves on, but the Republicans are going to have to distance themselves from Bush and all he's done, which leaves them very little success to run on for the last 8 years.. aside from personal ones, but overall the GOP has a massive image problem, and it's very much deserved. You can see what going closer to Bush has done for people like McCain, who used to be well respected on both sides of the isle, but he sold his maverick badge on ebay and traded it in for one with a picture of Bush and the I think we'll see whoever really intends to stick it out really start to bail on Bush come September when it's obvious the surge isn't working.. | ||||

Everyone knows Hillary's problems, does a swing voter in Miami-Dade county know about Rudy's problem that 9/11's heroes...NY firefighters, dislike/hate him? That he didn't prepare properly and it caused many to get serious illnesses from city cleanups after 9/11 More importantly, his ties to corruption? In Private Sector, Giuliani Parlayed Fame Into Wealth - washingtonpost.com Rudy is at the top right now, everyone goes "oh yes Rudy, tough, but very moderate, americans hero and mayor" He can only go down, and he's already losing to Hillary in some polls if not tied
