In order to give full disclosure, yes, some nasty stuff comes out of you throughout the day as your body releases toxins into your system and you expel them.
such as?

my bod could use less toxins, etc. in it. thinking about giving this a try. though i can imagine my smoking habit to negate some of the good that would result.

Take my advice? oh dear etc

Take a couple of hand fulls of pearl barley, boil vigourously in loads of water for several hours, drink the water when luke warm having strained the 'gunk' out

Each go should produce a litre or two of barley water. Drinking 7 litres of it a day is surprisingly hard work & the rise in utility bills more or less equals

The idea is to provide the trace elements. My advisers on this matters (who are NOT doctors & could be accurately described as 'wholefood non-drug-taking, meditating hippies'), say that the body fat is more efficiently burnt when the trace elements are present.

The first time i did this i broke the 'no fat at all aftwards' rule on day 4 of breaking a 5 day fast. I'd run out of fresh fruit it was late & i was hungry & so went down the chippy. BIG MISTAKE!

Nothing wrong with my vision, matter of fact, I seem to be seeing things in HD or something. Maybe it's just my mind playing tricks, but everything seems clearer and sharper today. Go figure. .
I noticed this too. I've been assuming that it was the release of the fat stored THC-a-likes. But I doubt you take cannabis.

There IS a reason medical marijuana is available to glaucoma patients.

My stepmother's father died in his 90s. He always said he was so healthy because he always swam in the Hudson River. You do that for half your life and survive then you can pretty much forget about a virus or bacteria doing you in...

I have a similar philosophy.

I have never really been a healthy eater. I used to drink a lot. I smoke. I wash my hands maybe once a day. I used little to no protection while sleeping with some filthy girls. I worked at a job where I was exposed to large amounts of paint and other toxins (many bio). I get sick once or twice a year. Never very severe. I could always work through it (hell I usually partied through it).

My friend, I'll call him Lee, is the total opposite. He has got to be borderline OCD. He washes his hands constantly. He sprays everything with disinfectant. He's vegan and only eats very healthy foods. He stays away from things that are dirty at every opportunity. It's really funny to watch. This guy gets deathly ill 3-4 times a year. A cold that I may not even notice lands him in the hospital.

When you go to the restroom, your body is spitting out the remnants of a lot of garbage that has been sitting around in your body for years. I have heard that it would actually help you to quit smoking. Not that I would ever want to try it. You would be going through a double withdrawl because obviously you can't keep smoking while doing this. But if you think about it, you've been doing food for longer than you've been doing smoking. I would think it's harder to quit food but I am no expert in that one.

It was my eyes as a whole. I really think it is because I haven't been sleeping. It makes no sense to me that I would be so wired where I am getting only a few hours of sleep a day...but that's what I am faced with.

Well, I figure I would have the resulting high as well? I mean, I *might* for some unknown reason still have some undesireable remains from my college days...but I had absolutely no fat cells back then so I doubt anything was stored for that long. Plus I have fasted several times before.

Sorry, you might have had an effect on day one or two, but at this time, no hunger pains at all. That all looks good though. I can't wait to eat it. The problem is, it's going to be another two weeks before I will be eating more solid food than veggie juice and soups/salads. My biggest craving has been for meat. Steak...mmmmmmmmm. But I can live without it.

Day 4 went by with absolutely no issues. My eyes are back to normal. No headaches or hunger pains. No cramps. Today just kind of breezed by. Even went for a 2 mile walk. *it was 90 degrees outside* I only lost one pound today which is good. That makes 13 pounds total I believe? I can't say I see a physical difference at this point. My girlfriend says there is.

Which brings me to another issue...I was somehow bamboozled into sex today. It wasn't that enjoyable. I don't know the exact reasoning...but I think I'll abstain until I start eating again. I had the energy and it lasted the normal 50 seconds (kidding). It lasted the normal 15 minutes or so. (save the comments...it's mostly because of her. If I go too long, she makes me stop and I get left...backed up.) ANYWAY, it just felt weird. I couldn't concentrate nor could I really feel everything like I normally feel things. I dunno. Could have been my mind or something. O.k. that's my day 4 wrap up. TMI.

Oh yeah, I have a huge craving for a large pepperoni pizza for some reason. Big slices of course...NY style. I rarely eat that to begin with so why my body chose that, I'll never know.

Update.

Ended up losing 20 pounds at the end. Gained 5 back when I started eating soup and fruit again. (expected). Overall, I must say it was a total breeze. I think days 2 and 3 were the worst...and they weren't really all that bad. I probably could have gone longer but I think I lost too much weight. It wasn't a goal to lose weight, just clean my system...re-energize both mentally and physically. Today was my first *real* food...ate Subway. Didn't realize I missed it so much. I am back up to full strength and begin working out again today.

Cliffs: I could kick Silver Surfer's ass.
