I've tried that. I haven't been threatening or mad at all (but I will admit to crying-darn pregnancy hormones). I've tried telling them that it is a combination of issues with the pregnancy as well as not receiving our passports in time, but nobody cares.

This supervisor said that we would not be issued a voucher. It really didn't make sense to me to be honest. She also said it was not transferable, so thank you for bringing that up before!

I'm just really confused right now. I've been told so many things by so many different people. It's frustrating.

usually you are given the credit for another flight within a year of your travel date.. the whole by feb 2008 crap is bogus, so I would argue if anything to extend your next travel date to at least May or June 08....

sorry, but airlines are crap right now

They said it has to be used within one year of booking. We booked on Valentine's Day of this year (I guess I was a little eager!!). So we'd have to use it by Valentine's Day 2008.

Our anniversary is in February, so I'm trying to talk him into just taking a weekend trip with me then.

We'll figure something out. Eventually. I hope.

This just really sucks. It's not what I was told when I booked the trip and, yeah well it sucks.

well you know, they record the conversations. you could call and ask the tape be pulled and they can review it.... if the person really did fuck up and tell you its refundable, they'll have it on tape...

The travel agency (not the airline) told me it was refundable. I asked her to look up previous conversations I had with them, and she said she had none on record. Of course, I wasn't smart enough to get the person's name either (we obviously don't travel too much

None of it is set in stone at all. That's about HALF of what the husband wanted to do too!

i went to do an 8 day whirlwind trip in Europe about 3 years so with my mom and my ex boyfriend. yeah, you read that right...

we landed in Zurich, drove through Lichtenstein, down through the Italian Alps into Milan, then over to Venice, stayed 2 days, back up through the Austrian Alps to Munich, stayed 2 days, visited Neuschwanstein castle on the austrian border, then drove up along the lake constance to a little town outside Freiburg called Wasenweiler where my mom's family emmigrated from, stayed there for 2 days with distant relatives, walked around in the vineyards, went over into France for an afternoon, then drove back to Zurich to fly out.

8 days, 6 countries, 7-8 towns/cities. it was relaxing at times, and other times i almost killed my ex boyfriend who couldn't drive sanely.....

but it was fun!

I will be driving the entire time since we're taking my minivan. I can't handle being in the passenger seat when he's driving!

Linzy, those pictures are beautiful! I hope to get to Europe someday.

BTW, I think our schedule is so full since we never really do anything. We want to make sure we get the most out of it, since it will probably be quite some time before we do another week long vacation (of course we do have the airline tickets now

). Our week in SoCal/Mexico was the same way (full of things to do) and we really enjoyed it.

i wanted to point out if you can barely see it, but in the last pic of the group i posted before, that's Neuschwanstein castle in the mountains in the middle. you can barely see it.....

yeah i know what you mean about fitting stuff in. last year i went on vacation with my mom (we're close, what can i say) and we went to Amsterdam, Brussels, Luxembourg and Iceland. I got a detour into Oslo Norway too because the flights were all fucked up on Iceland air into Amsterdam.... anyway, here's a few pretty scenes from that....

I could just scream right now. They mailed our passports on Tuesday. Why couldn't the passport agency tell us that we would get them in time instead of being assholes and telling us that they couldn't guarantee anything?!

I could have went to Mexico. I swear they better not show up until Saturday or I'm going to be so pissed at myself

it's actually not that expensive at all... i usually fly over there for about $400 roundtrip. the key is going in the off season. I'm spending more money going to Mexico this summer for my brother's wedding then I would normally do going over to Europe.....
