| The more reading I do the more I realize Clinton wasn't a total goober I say this primarily from a domestic stand point. In high school I hated the guy, thought he sucked, was basically feeding off of what I was learning from my parents and my limited resources at the time. Having done shit tons of reading, I realize that he did have competent people around him. Part of the reason the economy did well was because he took a fairly hands off approach but when something did need to change, he did have a very competent economic advisor. I've read several articles from his head economic advisor and he's extremely smart. It makes me wonder why the democrats have so many issues comingup with stances on certain issues. This guy has addressed taxes, tax cuts, medicare, medicaid, social security, welfare and a whole host of other pressing issues that relate to us both socially and economically and yet no one seems to be paying attention. Also, its not like the guy takes a far left approach, he's fairly centrist and level headed. Granted he's not without mistakes, I've seen/heard him say some things that make me go but reality is in many if not most cases he's come up with good solutions, solutions that could work for america, something that we as americans could get behind and yet no one in the democrat party is talking about it.I guess this is less about clinton and more about my frustration with the current state of the democrat party inthe country today. There are no viable alternatives for someone like myself, I feel abandoned by my party and dont know that I can stomach voting for what the democrat party is turning into, which is nothing more than a group of far left bomb throwers that bring no solutions, no real solutions to the table. | ||||

| Wes Clark or Joe Biden will be great alternatives. They will have many clinton-esque things about them. Wes Clark actually voted for Reagan and Nixon, so he is not your crazy liberal or a lamont taliban democrat. Clinton also endorsed Clark for 2004 but he just joined way to late. Given our current state of affairs I also think a former general as president is not neccessarily a bad thing. He obviously knows the military and (hopefully) could take a no bs approach to this "war on terror" | ||||

| I think Biden might be a bit too liberal for some Clark though, on the other hand.. He's not some "wacky liberal". I think he has a fantastic shot at winning if he runs this time around.. he already has credibility with the Fox News viewers because he appears on there as an analyst. | ||||

| Clinton's "Third Way" was far better than any other President in my lifetime. Socially Liberal and Economically Moderate/Conservative. I think he has great work ethic and truly does what he believes is in the public good. And he'd be my #1 public figure if I was voting "who do you want to have a beer with and shoot the shit". Of course he has many flaws both personal and political, but I really like the guy anyway. Always have. | ||||

I am all about fair trade. If its fair to have free..great. But in a lot of cases we get screwed. | ||||

| Yup, free trade needs to be fair trade. If a foreign economy is artificially messing with their currency to keep it insanely cheap to manufacture there.. should we not do anything about it? | ||||
