The Bush Administration, however, was closely involved in the planning of Israel’s retaliatory attacks. President Bush and Vice-President Dick Cheney were convinced, current and former intelligence and diplomatic officials told me, that a successful Israeli Air Force bombing campaign against Hezbollah’s heavily fortified underground-missile and command-and-control complexes in Lebanon could ease Israel’s security concerns and also serve as a prelude to a potential American preëmptive attack to destroy Iran’s nuclear installations, some of which are also buried deep underground.

Any US attack on Iran could well lead to the US and British troops in Iraq being cut off from fuel and massacred by enraged Shiites. Shiite irregulars could easily engage in pipeline and fuel convoy sabotage of the sort deployed by the Sunni guerrillas in the north. Without fuel, US troops would be sitting ducks for rocket and mortar attacks that US air power could not hope completely to stop (as the experience of Israel with Hizbullah in Lebanon demonstrates). A pan-Islamic alliance of furious Shiites and Sunni guerrillas might well be the result, spelling the decisive end of Americastan in Iraq

You know we urged Israel to delay signing of the peace agreement? We had it in our aims to load up 2 cargo planes with 5,000 lb GBA Satellite Guided Bombs and shipped them to Isreal at the last minute. Making a layover in a british airport of course. These are the bombs you saw dropped the morning of the peace agreement, a mushroom cloud that enveloped several city blocks -- and rose thousands of feet in a column above the bombed-out homes.

since the US basically sells israel everything they have, i can't imagine how they wouldn't be involved in ANY military planning. israel and the US are allies...and they need to work together to stand up to iran. this should be no surprise.

So is it any wonder when they hate us as much as they hate Israel, or shift a lot of the hate to US because they see us as "controlling" Israel to enact their foreign policy goals?

very little, and if i've heard it, it's only been in jest. you can't really take them seriously can you? do you see them smuggling nukes into the middle east to blow them up?

I don't take seriously their ability to carry out, but I think many of those people who say such things are entirely serious about it.

My point in bringing that up is that it's not just Muslim's who have irrational hatred that leads them to take extremist positions.

Ever hear of the crusades? Ever hear the idiots and their "turn it all to glass" or "Let Israel destroy them all" calls? To deny the TWO WAY HISTORY OF HATE between Christians and Muslims...heck, even Christians and Jews...that's just plain ridiculous.
