| my new crib Picked up a brand new crib. Got it "on sale" as it was a new construction that someone backed out on. It is in one of those cookie cutter type neighborhoods, but it is my first house so I am happy with it. Originally listed at 171,800, I picked it up for 154,900. Most in the 'hood' are going for 168-172 for the same thing if you build new from scratch. It is a basic 2 story, 3 bedroom, 3 car garage, with 1650 finished sq feet. Here are some crappy cell phone pictures of it. I had very little time that night to snap some off. I plan on upgrading most of the light fixtures. I close on the loan in 30 days. Anyway this is what you get in nebraska for this type of money. ![]() ![]() Here is a 'family' room. Doorway on the right, immediate left is a sink, toilet, and laundry room. If you go straight it heads out to the garage. ![]() Here is kitchen, I plan on filling that empty space under the "island" with a cabinet that matches the rest of them. ![]() Here is where i will make toilet. 2 sinks, a dunny, and a shower...aka 3/4 bath if i am not mistaken. ![]() Here is where the rest of you would make toilet. 1 sink, a dunny, and a shower/tub combo..aka full bath ![]() Here is 'living' room. ![]() Goes upstairs ![]() I didnt take any pictures of the bedrooms because 2 of them are unexciting 11x11 squares with a standard closet. The master bedroom is 16x12 with its own shitter and decent size walk in closet. The basement is unfinished, approx. 800 sq feet, so I am debating on whether to make it my meth lab or pot growing operation. | ||||

| Housing prices there seem to be about what they are here. You can get a nice starter home with some extra's between 150-190. For 350-450 you can pretty much get a mansion. | ||||

Anyway, I was able to get a 5.94% fixed 30 year. Taxes are going to be about $2900-3100 per year. Including taxes and home owners insurance, it is going to be roughly $1300 a month. | ||||

| They have to pay a premium for the beach and the brown/green water that comes with it. Not to mention all the world war 1 antiques that washed on the shore that could possibly still detonate. | ||||
