I think yes, though I don't really agree with their tax policies entirely, on the stuff that I feel is the most important right now I certainly trust them more than I do Republicans.

Who's to say that the organization conducting the study isn't out of sync with real life?

And no, I don't trust the Democrats more than the Republicans on every major issue. In fact, I trust them less than Republicans on some of the major issues, but in most cases, I hate both platforms equally.
