Meanwhile there is a child being raised by a woman who sleeps with twin brothers on the same day. A fine roll model.

I'm sure they wouldn't need any monetary help from one or both of those fellows that she shares her DNA with.

I agree, it's a slippery slope, but we can't just say "sorry kid, the system doesn't account for things like this. Looks like you don't have a daddy."

edit - and if either of those guys were decent human beings, they would step up and try to help out.

You can't designate a legal daddy though if you don't know who the father is. That's not fair or justice. It's a shame the kid has to be raised by a screwup of a mother. But if she is unfit, there are child-protective services. They won't be the only kid in the world who doesn't know who daddy is and whose mother is stuck raising the child alone.

I kind of agree. I think if I were in that position I would want to help out some, but I don't think it's fair for the court system to enforce it on them.

I think whatever the judge decides on this is going to be tricky.
How were they both played? Unless the men were raped, they chose to participate in such an activity that they knew could potentially produce a child.

I'm really conflicted on this. I didn't realize that identical twins had indistinguishable DNA though. It isn't fair to the CHILD to not have a father, but it is also a very rare circumstance.

It is very rare, yes. The problem is when something bad happens, people look for someone to blame (even from natural disasters).

That is not what "played" means. They neither had any idea she was cheating on them.

Hmm. Maybe it means something different to me then.
