| Exit polls are a curious thing, I always wonder who these 11% of people are that vote for the other guy despite being a registered Democrat or Republican Wasn't there a big scandal about how the exit polls were showing Kerry winning all day until magically switching to Bush for the very last one? I'm pretty sure I saw something about that | ||||

| Kerry picked up more "moderate" votes and still lost! And look at Education. Bush was the clear winner until you get to the Postgraduate weenies!

| I don't think there is any real value in these kinds of statistics, if your registered or aligned to a party or ideology - which many are - you are more apt to vote along those same lines regardless of any logic that would otherwise compel you to vote for the other side. Witness how republicans stuck with the president for so long even though the President and true republicans are different in many respects, it works the same for voters - which of course does not include non-votes who are more apt not to be align to a specific party. It doesn't give us a true rational picture, if there was no political parties at all I bet those statistics would look markedly different.
