| Bush tabs Robert Zoellick for world bank Bush to nominate Zoellick as World Bank chief - International Business - MSNBC.com Well Mr. Bush has dubbed the replacement for Paul Wolfshirt. In true crony fashion he has picked a man you could be familiar with, that is of course if people paid attention to how much PNAC truly influences our policies and this administration. I really hope he is voted down simply because of his connections and the fact it would be simply more of the same. In a bit of irony, here is a sample of something he signed off on with other PNAC members. Letter to President Clinton on Iraq Here is some of his past adventures as well... Robert Zoellick also serves or has served as a board member for a number of private and public organizations: Alliance Capital, Said Holdings, and the Precursor Group; and as a member of the advisory boards of Enron and Viventures, a venture fund; and a director of the Aspen Institute's Strategy Group. On January 7, 2005, President George W. Bush nominated Zoellick to be Deputy Secretary of State. Zoellick assumed the office on February 22, 2005. The New York Times reported on May 25, 2006 that Zoellick, dissatisfied with his perceived inferiority at the State Department, could soon announce his departure. Zoellick, who served for six years in the Bush administration, agreed to serve as Deputy Secretary of State for not less than one year. He was seen as a major architect of the Bush administration's policies regarding China, and also the approach to a Darfur peace plan. | ||||

| If he's put in the position by a democratic house/senate how can you fault Bush for putting in a crony? Obviously those on the opposite side of the isle would consider him good enough. Not saying that will happen but what if? If he's responsible for China, we've made great strides regarding china and even the liberal wall street journal news page has mentioned that and the conservative WSJ editorials also praise the recent progress we've made. Though both stress we have a long ways to go with regard to china. | ||||

| Most of the Bush appointments aren't total disasters until the 3rd month of their appointment. | ||||
