CNN Int'l snubs Israeli civilians

CNN Int'l snubs Israeli civilians

Highly unbalanced report mostly ignores plight of Israeli civilians, portrays Israelis as soldiers and politicians in suits, while coverage from Lebanon features in-depth interviews with Lebanese civilians and images of children and ruins; no mention of large number of Israelis displaced from their homes in north

is this media bias? i have to say, i have to agree with them from what i've seen

All media has bias to an extent. When there is conflict, more so.

Maybe because while living in a bomb shelter might suck, it's hardly as bad as having your entire city destroyed?

Or maybe because there were 1130 Lebanese civilians killed while there were 52 Israeli?

Maybe the amount of coverage should reflect the amount of devestation and death experienced.. In the past, we've pretty much only seen the Israeli side of the conflict in the news. If anything, this was more balanced than previous journalistic endeavours during a time of conflict IMO.

Only seen the Israeli conflict in the news? dude what news have you been watching? CNN, MSNBC, CBS, ABC, NBC are all covering it from an obvious lebanon slant.

So the plight of the Lebanese has been documented for a month now...while in the past, I have seen NOTHING but the "suffering and innocent" Israelis when they get bombed on the news. Right.

Seeing as how it was the Lebanese who suffered the most throughout this entire conflict, I don't have a problem with the media having a biased stance for them.

The media always wants to make a dramatic story; what better way to create such a story than to report from the land of the affected?

Yeah, but media biases are not alwasy what they seem. Sometimes they are simply based on the positon of those in charge, but there is an element of getting a reaction to boost ratings
