What the fuck, seriously. I thought we were fighting them over there so we didn't have to face them here. Oh wait, that isn't working either.

And the best part...in the past two "terror plots" there were Americans involved. So not only are we turning every radical in every country against us, we're turning up our own.

I dont think he's done much, so I'd say the number is probably the same here at home and more outside the borders of the US.

They were here before and until we take much more dramatic immigration steps, they will always be here. Don't forget Clinton when you make posts like this also. better yet just put the blame on all presidents and forget about congress sending up tougher immigration bills.

Well, the American people have been losing their stomach for the "War On Terror" so we needed another almost-attacked scenario. How convenient. And for all you that think I'm a conspiracy theorist, it's no "theory" that Bin Laden was a bogeyman that was created by and belongs to the CIA. All this so-called ter'rism is just more government propoganda to keep us under their control, and accept more controls in the future.

If I really wanted to blow up fuel storage tanks, I could do it myself, especially if i wasn't worried about getting caught or killed (doin' it for Allah and the virgins, right?).

Bin Laden was a quartermaster during the Afghan War. Why would the CIA create a bogeyman to hand out supplies ?

We trained and funded that whole group, including quartermasters. They had and knew how to use stinger missiles, along with tactics on how to fight vs a conventional army with limited resources. This was all because of us. To say otherwise is completely ignorant. Your boys Ronny Reagan and GHWB supported both the afghan "freedom fighters" using terrorist (guerrilla tactics as we like to call them when its not used against us) tactics and Saddam. The conservative movement was in direct relation to the neoconservative movement. It is when these guys started to impliment their 'project for a new american century'.

Open your eyes man. Blowback is a reality. Our policy over the last 50+ years has led to attacks in Lebanon, Libya, USS Cole, 9/11, etc. Look at why they attack us, their reasons.

Well, bikinis...and forcefully removing leaders, sanctions that had innocent people dying from it, taking some land and creating Israel, utilizing their holy land for other military operations, trying to convert them to a more secular country against their will, occupying territory, and other stuff like that.

If we had a non-intervention foreign policy none of that would have taken place and I would be willing to guarentee that the threat and frequency of terrorist tactics would not be anywhere near what they are today.

That single issue alone might actually prompt me to vote for Ron Paul.

He explains it well right here. At the end of the video he also discusses nuclear weapons, and the comments at the end would be great to address in the threads about militarization and missile defense.

Hell did you know that when he started in Afghanistan, he was making propaganda magazines ? Crafty US devils. lets pick some random Arab that isnt a warrior and give him a shitload of money and weapons.

yes we supported the AFGHANS. We didnt support the ARABS. There were two distinct groups fighting the soviets.

The Arabs that bin laden worked with, hated the US already. They attack Americans already.

that the CIA funded bin Laden or trained bin Laden—is simply a folk myth. There's no evidence of this. In fact, there are very few things that bin Laden, Ayman al-Zawahiri and the U.S. government agree on. They all agree that they didn't have a relationship in the 1980s. And they wouldn't have needed to. Bin Laden had his own money, he was anti-American and he was operating secretly and independently. The real story here is the CIA didn't really have a clue about who this guy was until 1996 when they set up a unit to really start tracking him
Peter Bergen, CNN journalist

It was always galling to the Americans, and I can understand their point of view, that although they paid the piper they could not call the tune. The CIA supported the mujahideen by spending the taxpayers' money, billions of dollars of it over the years, on buying arms, ammunition, and equipment. It was their secret arms procurement branch that was kept busy. It was, however, a cardinal rule of Pakistan's policy that no Americans ever become involved with the distribution of funds or arms once they arrived in the country. No Americans ever trained or had direct contact with the mujahideen, and no American official ever went inside Afghanistan
Mohammad Yousaf, ISI leader from 83-87

How the CIA trained Osama bin Laden

Bin Laden, Iran, and the KLA

Any way you slice it, here's the deal. Muslims kill people. They've been killing each other since their religion was invented. They'll keep killing each other. If we pee in their pot, they'll try to kill us too.
The CIA trained the freedom fighters to fight the Soviets, because the Soviets were deemed the larger threat AT THE TIME. It was a short-sighted policy that was a stepping stone to 9/11 . There's always going to be an enemy to fight, if we want to go overseas and fight it. The real question is: why? Why should we prop up Iraq? They're going to turn against us in a decade or three anyway. The best solution is to secure our borders and feed our own children, and let the Muslims kill each other. We stir the pot, and now they want to come kill us as well.

It should be obvious that this JFK thing is just another excercise in keeping the populace focused on what they want us to be. Prick us with a little terror threat, and then numb us down with a little Paris Hilton in jail.

From the direction this thread is going, it is evident that the crusades are over, or at least that Christians aren't killing nearly enough.

I'm waiting for Wal-Marts and abortion clinics to get blown up daily by Christians, to reflect the Religion of Peace folk over in the middle east blowing up things.
