Talk Clock from the New Hampshire Democratic Debate (CNN)

At this debate they purposely put Obama, Edwards and Hillary next to each other in the middle of the stage.

This is how long each candidate had to speak. Obviously catering to the big three and Blitzer himself. Very interesting debate. It seems the liberal media is going to start outing the smaller candidates already. Maybe they should give Fox a shot.

Yea it's a vast difference. The smaller candidates should start fighting for a Fox News debate now. It's probably their best chance of being heard and being able to speak.

I thought Biden did excellent again. I wish he could break into the top 3. Though his gays in the fox holes thing had me laughing when stewart covered it on the daily show.

He was right on with campaign finance in relation to ear marks. He was right on with the Iraq war spending bill in relation to the "majority" that democrats have.

I just wish he could get more traction.

I'm curious to see this for tonight's debate... it seemed even more targeted toward the GOP "chosen ones"

as expected... McCain, Guiliani, Romney dominated the time slots... and Wolf talked a lot more.

Ron Paul, in a 2 hour debate, talked less than 6 minutes. Jesus Christ that is some serious bullshit. Why even waste your time if the media is going to pick the front-runners for you?

I wonder if it will be a big conspiracy as to why all of the liberals got to talk longer than their conservative counterparts

Anyone have the numbers for the Fox debate? I think we all knew CNN was mucking up debates by giving way too much time to the leaders.

Two things scared me away from a couple candidates. Rudy said we must make nation building part of our training for the army in the future. Another said he would authorize the use of nuclear weapons against Iran.

They should both be kept 500 yards from any red phones or buttons.

So Rudy has basically admitted that the Republican Party is no longer conservative, because a real conservative wouldn't be caught dead even THINKING anything like that.

Who?

Who?
Basically. He was on this rant about "the war on terror" and was talking about how it was a new type of war, how we need to prepare for it, and train our armies of the future in nation building.

Duncan Hunter.

To be fair he said he advocates talking to Iran, but he followed it with...

"I would authorize the use of tactical nuclear weapons if there was no other way to preempt those particular centrifuges," Hunter said.

Either way they both just sealed the deal on not getting anywhere near my vote.

Another thing that concerned me was the answer from the guy from colorado. They were asked if they would involve bush in anything after 2008, such as most democrats would tab clinton as some envoy to the rest of the world.

Rep. Tom Tancredo of Colorado said White House political adviser Karl Rove called him in 2003 and told him that "because of my criticism of the president, I should never darken the doorstep of the White House."

Tancredo said he is "so disappointed" in the president that, if elected, he "would have to tell George Bush exactly the same thing Karl Rove told me."

I think it is incredibly disturbing that Karl Rove would call someone and tell them to shutup, as desent is one of the core pieces of foundation for a successful democracy.

I watched the whole debate, my god do those candidates suck if you are a true conservative - except for Ron Paul of course, who was barely given a chance to speak.

Not only were the smaller candidates not given much of a chance to speak they were given the bullshit questions.

Rudy and Mccain didn't answer a couple questions in there intended quick "yes or no" format. Rudy rambled for like 1.5-2 minutes on the "would you pardon scooter libby" question, and it was supposed to be "yes or no"

I noticed unfortunately wasted his chances to appear domestically conservative. All he talked about was the war. McCain took the oppertunity to talk about government waste but Paul didn't.

Apparently Fox gave him more time to speak than any other candidate
