This is the article you're referring to, it might serve well to read it: Fred Thompson on Cuba on National Review Online Nowhere does Thompson criticize Moore for going to Cuba, but rather for ignorant message he brings back. Hence the cigar thing and accusations against Thompson were really nothing short of a typical Michael Moore diversion of the real message... and our media ran with it.. as did the liberal blogs. It's also why he released a video where he calls Michael Moore delusional and suggests he might need to be admitted to a mental institution. There's two sides to every story. It's usually best to take Michael Moore's side with a grain of salt before running with it.

| lack of "baggage" I find it amusing that Thompson's apparent lack of "baggage" has so many running in circles looking for the dirt on him. I'm sure if they dig deep enough they can find something though. Maybe he had a paper route as a kid and delivered someones paper late! Oh dear lord, say it isn't so!
