Lets get "real world" Linzy. A qualified black kid with experiance shoud get the job. And if he does not because of the owners racism he is better off working somewhere else! But that is not what race based policies are after. They would force you to hire a less qualified black, high school drop out, who may have a criminal record for diversity. Notice how Private sector racism is implied without evidence. The lip service to qualifications and personal character is a joke. Collectivists are not capable of such observations.

Are you using the premise of you running the pizza shop, and you are getting 2 resumes with black guy and irish guy? And you are asking who we think you'd pick?

Picking the black guy just because he is black is just as rascist at picking the white guy because he is white. You need to interview them and base your decision on the interview regardless of skin color. If Tyrone interviews better I am going to pick Tyrone. If Thomas interviews better I am going to pick him.

Um, any one with a business would make time for an interview. Otherwise put their names in a hat or call them and tell them to pick a number between 1-10.

I think we are setting up a false scenerio here.

I once did a job fair at our headquarters in Cary, NC and interviewed 50+ people in 8 hours (that was a long tiring day) along with 5 or 6 others. We interviewed more then 250 people in one day to fill about 35 positions (not all within my department). These were office administration jobs that paid about $12 an hour.


After 2nd interviews were completed I would say more then half of the people we hired were black. We had no quota. We weren't told by HR to hire minorities. We went by the best applicant and who we were most impressed with in the interview process.

I would think, at least in the corperate world, this is the way most people are hired.
