It kinda reminds me of Unpop Art, but the crassness is lacking the humor factor that Unpop has.

Examples:

We are protected in that the Congress can make no law to abridge the freedom of speech and expression. A worthy subject of celebration!

However, we don't live in plastic bubbles do we? And I have always been glad to have friends and family and even a community to tell me when my "expression" gets incredibly stupid and embarrassing!

We can still have good judgement without that being censorship. These people obviously don't have any real friends and this pathetic display is the best shot at being noticed they may ever have?

I really liked this response by Brian Clark (one of the Unpop Art founders) when someone accused the art of being reactionary.
I've heard that quipped before by anarcho-feminist types, and my retort to that is simply that in those instances in which that could be argued, most of the phenomena that people allege Unpop Art is reacting to are themselves reactionary. I mean, what isn't reactionary about radical feminism, political correctness, Sharp skinheads, censorship, the resurgence of religious fundamentalism, or any of the other stuff we rib? I mean, give me a fucking break - that's the pot calling the kettle black! Unpop Art is about fun, and these people who have no senses of humor about their pet issues need to dismiss it as being a reaction to their issues, when in fact their issues are themselves a reaction to "the dominant paradigm" or "the status quo" or "the patriarchal class-system" or whatever freshman-level community college term they've attached to the rest of society as a whole.

He later writes about his views on politics and how the art ties in with it:
In my own personal view - and I'm only speaking for myself here - I have a lot of trouble taking contemporary American politics seriously anymore. I see politics today as being polarized into two almost arbitrary sets of "values" and "issues," whereby every point of contention is defined as being either left-wing or right-wing, and these issues and values are then seen as being mutually-exclusive and antithetical; and it appears as though it's only becoming more polar as time goes on. The fundamental problem with contemporary politics however, is that the various "issues" that comprise both sides' worldviews are all part of two distinct emotionally-based moral views of life and the world.

People always associate morality with religion and the church, but that's only partly true today. As I see it, there are two equally-irrational moral worldviews being asserted today: one for the left, and one for the right. Each side has its own set of moral values, which aren't based on logic or reason, but rather, upon their own emotionally-seated desires for how the world ought to be, as opposed to how it actually is. Abortion, gun control, gay marriage, foreign policy, prayer in school, affirmative action, and so on and so forth; each of these issues falls into one of the two camps, and everyone is expected to side completely with one political bloc or the other, but my attitude is, "Well, why can't I be pro-guns, pro-abortion, pro-smoker's rights and pro-gay rights? - why the fuck not?" Because I don't see all these issues as being intertwined at all, or as being at odds - because most of them have nothing to do with one another! I feel like most people focus on the struggle between the parties and rationalizing why their side is right and the other side is wrong, more than they do on logically thinking-through the actual issues involved. So the whole predominant idea of a dualistic party-system seems retarded to me, and being that I disagree with both liberals and conservatives on at least half of both their platforms, I find it hard to be "political" about much of anything, especially things like Art and music.
I like that guy.

I can't believe all the crybabies in this thread. If you don't like the art, don't buy it or go to a place that is showing it.

The people who made the art have the right to express themselves, but the people who don't like it are cry babies and should shutup... Interesting perspective.

You strongly implied it when you criticized people for expressing displeasure with the propaganda by calling them cry-babies. Cry-baby is a term you call someone when they're "crying" or "complaining" about something that you want them to shutup about.

Yes, some admit that what they are doing is actual propaganda, that's the point. Overtake, overthrow, convert the hearts and minds of the masses.

Not at all.

I certainly have no expectation or desire to have people conform to my judgement. I just don't like it when people act like judgement is in itself a type of censorship. Instead of just parroting a line about how "great freedom of expression is" one might point to a poster or two in this bunch and suggest it is a poor excuse for a rational debate on these subjects. Rather childish. Or do I get to express myself also?

The censorship is from people who are so "affraid" to offend someone they won't admit the Emperor is naked and that any trash slogan painted on cardboard is not art!

I implied nothing. Take my words as they are written.

I told no one to shut-up.

It's tongue in cheek. Even the "flag burning techniques" part is obviously a joke.
