I have found the most affective insult to the mullet car enthusiast is just to tell them they have a "cute" car. Soon as you tell them it is cute its all down hill from there. They go off on profanity rants for days and start questioning themselves and their man hood.

3rd gens were so much better than 4th gens. Put a good modern engine into a 3rd gen and it would walk your boatmaro so hard.

GM really hit the mark with the 3rd gen, they just hadn't developed engine technology yet that could make the power those cars should've had while still maintaining smog control standards. The 3rd gen Camaro and Firebird could slalom and run the skidpad at pretty much an equal level with the Corvette of the time, and minor suspension and tire upgrades could get a skidpad over 1g.

I've driven a C4 Vette and trust me, my car could run circles around it.

This thread made me laugh. The kid is 19 and at that age I couldn't afford what he has for a ride. I had an old beater $400 Toyota Pickup. Congrats on the car.

Are you implying that my father bought the car for me? Because I can assure you that I paid for it. I've been working 30-35/hrs a week since I turned 16, and every car I've owned I've sold for more than I paid for them.

I make approx $500 a week in tips and ~ $100 a week in wages at Red Lobster where I work as a server and I have minimal bills. (cell phone - $25/mo, car ins - $85/mo liab only, gas $150-200/mo)
