What to do with old magazines...

Any good suggestions of what do with old magazines?

I hate to throw them away but then again, am I ever going to look at them again either?

Examples include Road & Track, Scientific American, Discover, Smithsonian... etc

I think they might get recycled real soon unless I can think of something better to do with them... suggestions appreciated.

I used to keep them around thinking I'd look at them again. But after a few years of 3-4 subscriptions you just have a huge heavy pile of wasted space. Now I get rid of them every 3-4 months.

I've been getting Stuff and Maxim for years now. I like saving the collection so I can look at the hot babes that the fold of the magazines makes.

See if your local library could use them? I know the libraries down here keep collections of magazines on hand and bind a lot of them into annual volumes to put on the shelf eventually... Seems like the magazines you have would be perfect for that.

You could also donate them to an Art Class or something...

Magazines make mean collages.

I've seen people do that collage stuff on table tops. They stick clippings to the surface of the table and clear coat it.

Or my dad walks by my moms pile of magazines...takes about 4 or 5 at a time and throws them away without saying anything. She never misses them and he's done it for like 8 years.

yeah, it's called decoupage. fun to do but it doesn't really use up more than one or two magazines at the most.

i just recycle 'em.

I was thinking about using the hot GQ covers and making some kind of collage, never thought about doing a table top with it though.... hmm...

If there are any articles that really interest you, you can get a binder and those transparent sheet protectors and hold on to a few of the valuables...maybe there are some articles that will be of use to you at a later time or maybe you'll want to share them with someone.

I work 10 hour days teaching summer school and summer camp and then pass out shortly after, just to wake up the next morning to do it all over again.

Nice to be around for awhile
