It's a bluff, will never happen.

How can I vote to cut off my Senator's funds? Hs isn't serving my best interests!

I concur with tbone and will add that this sets a really bad precedent going forward. The whining democrats either need to proceed with impeachment proceedings or just shut the hell up. We need people in Washington that are going to do their freakin' jobs, not nutcases like these idiots wasting our money by spending time on crap like this. This is just one more example of politicians in Washington playing politics instead of focusing on real issues, like securing our border!

I don't know that this is just playing politics. If Cheney claims to not be a part of the executive branch, and thus not subject to various oversight, executive orders, and so on and so forth, why should he receive funding as a member of the executive branch?

He can't have his cake and eat it too.

This is IMO, a good step in Congress reasserting it's constitutional authority on an executive branch run amok, who hasn't had to deal with oversight or checks and balances thanks to the impotency of the Republican party over the last 7 years.

Bad precedent has already been set by the Bush administration which acts like it's the only branch of government and has been telling everyone else to fuck off for years. They are not willing to bend or compromise on anything. Finally, toward the end of their reign, congress grows some balls by doing the only thing it can to stand up to them, withdraw funds, and you say congress is wasting time?

Well if that's your opinion, what exactly do you think congress should be doing? Keep on sucking off the executive and rubber stamping everything they do?

I couldn't agree more. This administration especially Cheney need to grow up. If he's not part of the executive branch then he needs NONE of my tax dollars.

I hope to God this isn't a bluff and congress pulls the plug on his office.

The crew that dude rolls with every time he goes some place is insane.

I read some place that he has his own medical staff that follows him every place he goes. I am not sure if that is for his own health concerns or if they are there for when he shoots someone in the face. Could be both.

Either way that dude is nuts.

You know that there is something not right when you fear that much being shot in the face. To carry that many people as he does says something about how disliked they are.
