Does this strike anyone else as stupid? V. bomb threat

so I got this e-mail from my school

Dear Campus Community,

Rider University recently discovered a bomb threat against the
Lawrenceville campus for Friday, July 20. As soon as the University
became aware of the threat, our Department of Public Safety contacted
Lawrence Township Police to investigate and to work with our Emergency
Response Team to protect our University.

Therefore, because no classes are scheduled for July 20 on the
Lawrenceville campus, and since that day is already a half work day for
our employees, we are asking all faculty and staff on the Lawrenceville
campus to take the entire day off unless already notified to assist with
essential services that day.
.....
We will reopen the campus on Saturday, July 21 after being assured by
the Lawrence Township Police that the campus is safe. Of course, the
Department of Public Safety will continue to conduct increased patrols.

The email is longer than that, but you get the idea.
So someone made a bomb threat for a specific date and they are actually honoring that date and only taking precautions on that day? Does this strike anyone else as moronic? They send out this email telling everyone, and probably the potential bomber, that everyone will be back on campus on Satuday the 21st.. so if you want to bomb, that would be a good time.

I'm not sure there's any real way to "win" like this for a school campus, etc.. if they take precautions people will complain, if something happens people complain that they didn't do enough
