The Liberty Lounge All Stars

The baseball All-Star game has just passed and it got me thinking, who would your LL All-Stars? The people that you think consistently post terrific and insightful posts? I know there will be some bias (me included) but I think it would fun to see what you think plus it might give some people a slight ego boost. If I had to pick only three and one alternate, mine would be:

Scrum - Consistently very good and thoughtful posts
Dos - Straight forward but very insightful posts
Motivez - Also consistently good and thoughtful posts

Alternate -

Thorgrim - when he is on his best behavior

I am independent, I've voted republican as much as democratic, I want smaller government and I believe in capitalism.

Its just after run-ins with the neo-cons on this board, as well as the libertarians, I feel the liberal posters here are much more in line with reality, have better arguments, and are much more reasonable

I honestly think you're confusing "arguments/stances you agree with" with "in line with reality, better arguments, and much more reasonable" ... but that's just my opinion. You say you're for capitalism and small government, yet the bulk of your posts here seem to say quite the opposite.

I see no reason why capitalism or any man made system should be taken without question, if it is has good as it claims it ought to be subject to heavy scrutiny and inquiry to prove its fitness or to improve it. I use this board to post what if's like "what are the possible draw backs of capitalism?", so a better understanding of it can be gained, its strengths and weakness.

As far as you saying I confuse arguments with who agrees with me, your opinion is mostly wrong, they for the most part base their opinions on facts (they use facts more than in comparison to the neo-cons), the neo-cons for the most part don't (or they seem to use questionable references) while the libertarians argue off theory (no practical applications) and expect me to debate off their definitions when they don't have no real world examples to justify their claims. So in this light it is very easy to side with the liberals on this board.

We libertarians have to use old examples of why the theory works, and new examples of failing systems to show the implications of the theory. When we use older examples, people always bring up shit that happened "back then" in response to moving away from the libertarian model (eg., unions). As for modern implications of the theory, libertarians and "others" comes to the exact opposite conclusion given all the information: libertarians say less gov't control, everyone else says more.

I wish I knew the driving force behind some republicans and democrats... not the crazy ones, the average ones who can think for themselves quite well, but don't accept economic reasons for making decisions.

Anyhow, to get back on track with this thread:

Scrum - He often has good posts, and it throws me off to see someone who so recently had "Democrat" as their affiliation make some of his posts.

Publius - Decently read, and makes a great argument (even about douchebags like Hamilton)

Lew - All too often I'm reading through a thread, see something I feel the need to respond to, and Lew beat me to it saying a lot of what I was going to say.

Ballz2Wallz - I swear to God, I think he is G.W. Bush in disguise.

Thorgrim - Where'd he go? Often had a well thought out argument, but man could he not deal with conflict.

my all stars:

thomez - well read, knows how to boil an argument down to logical basics
SpicyMcVoodoo - often raises excellent points to consider, not an ideologue
hsmith - humorous, but makes excellent points at the same time.
Thorgrim - makes good arguments, even though he doesn't deal with conflict well
